The Margaret River Region is a vast playground of gourmet food, wine and activities. We understand how hard it is to narrow down the choices available to you, so we’ve asked Pete to use his local knowledge to give us his rundown of a perfect summer’s day!
Located in the southwest region of Western Australia, Ramada Resort overlooks the Geographe Bay and Dunn Bay of the Indian Ocean. Stay on the beach while being within driving distance of Cape Naturaliste—which features a lighthouse and scenic views of the water—and right below Meelup Regional Park, which offers wilderness exploration and beautiful beaches. You can also reach the Margaret River Wine Region for a day in the vineyards with plentiful samples of your favorite types of vino. Hang out on your very own ocean-view property for outdoor sports, poolside lounging, and beach bronzing.
Check out some of the amazing beaches in the Margaret River Region while Autumn still provides some pretty great weather! Have a swim, have a picnic, enjoy the unspoiled beauty of out beaches.
Some of our favourites include Castle Bay, Meelup Beach and Eagle Bay. Want more information so you can pick which beach you should hit (trick question, you should hit all of them), check out our blog here on our Favourite Bays of the Margaret River Region!
Meet up with Peter from Jet Adventures for a Cape Naturaliste Wilderness Cruise at 11am.
Honestly the best way to experience the South West, you’ll understand why this is one of the most popular attractions of the Margaret River Region.
Explore the amazing coastline of Cape Naturaliste between Dunsborough and Canal Rocks. See Castle Rock with its bright orange granite boulders, the pristine white sand at Meelup Beach, see some of the popular south west surf breaks, and the beautiful Eagle and Bunker Bay and meet with some cute animals along the way!
If you’re keen on something more thrilling, check out the Thrill Rides on at 2pm, but buckle up for a wild ride!
Enjoy lunch at some of the best local restaurants in Dunsborough. Blue Manna Bistro is an Asian fusion seafood restaurant has quickly become the dining experience you can’t miss out on. Relax under the peppermint trees with a delicious cocktail in hand at Blue Manna Bistro on Cyrillean Way in Dunsborough. This stylish restaurant is alive with the buzz of conversation as locals and visitors alike settle in to polished wood surrounds at black table settings, under the watchful eye of the resident crab adorning the wall.
If you’re feeling like more of a casual lunch with kids running around lush green lawns, try out Eagle Bay Brewing Co, just a stone’s throw from Eagle Bay Beach!
What better way to celebrate Autumn than popping into some pretty amazing wineries for a tipple?
Blind Corner is a certified organic & biodynamic vineyards & winery. Owners Ben and Naomi Gould started making wines from their sustainably farmed vineyard 10 years ago. The natural wines and styles they produced in the shed had not been seen in Margaret River before.
Guests to the Quindalup Cellar Door are encouraged to peek behind the scenes into their winery, as well as their bee-hives, chickens, biodynamic veggie patch, skate ramp and bottling line amongst their certified organic vines!
We also recommend Windance Estate for it’s chilled, relaxed ambiance. This cellar door boasts a serene and friendly environment to taste their exceptional wines (their wines are organic too!) while overlooking some pretty stunning vistas.
