Best School Holiday Activities to Try This Summer!

It’s summer, the days are long and the sun is shining. It’s also the School Holidays, which means people on school holidays are free to do absolutely anything they want for a good long time.

Now, we know how hard it can be trying to fill your days up with amazing things to do all the time, we have put together a handy little list of the best school holiday activities you can get up to these holidays in the Margaret River region.

Activities

Jet Adventures

We’re really not trying to be biased, but seriously, can you think of a better thing to do than take a Thrill Ride with Jet Adventures on a hot summer’s day? Book a Jet Boat Thrill Ride and experience the South West of WA on a tour like no other! Can you handle the power and adrenaline rush as the boat races over open water? Peter pulls out all the stops with exhilarating 270° spins, power brake stops, donuts & fishtails and speeds reaching up to 90km/hour. Our custom designed and built boat, the Exhilarator, offers incredible stability, even in the open water.

The Thrill Ride immediately lifts your spirits and sends the wind whistling past you while you enjoy the views of the aqua blue bays like you never have before. On a hot day (hello, summer), this is the best thing you could possibly do outside of actually living in the water. Peter will then kick things up a notch by pulling some amazing tricks to make you feel like you’re on an F1 race on the water.

Not a fan of too much adventure? Jet Adventures’ Cape Naturaliste Wilderness Cruise is the perfect combination of exciting and informative, making it the perfect family activity.

Unlike the Thrill Rides where Peter pulls out all the stops, tricks and turns to make you lose your breath, the Cape Naturaliste Wilderness Cruise sets off at a fast but steady pace. It feels much like being on a fast boat, enjoying the wind and the sunshine while learning about the iconic Cape Naturaliste and everything within it.

Yallingup Maze

Come on down to Yallingup Maze over the school holidays – the perfect destination for the whole family.

Yallingup Maze caters for everyone. The maze itself is all about making your way to each of the four corner towers. The hardest challenge is finding the towers in the correct order. You get to choose which challenge to complete and your maze pass is for unlimited entries for the entire day. Water pistols are provided and are perfect fun for the warmer days. The café boasts a huge selection of wooden puzzles and brain teasers which are all free to play during you stay.

The puzzle shop is stocked with the latest boardgames and many of the old favourites, making a trip to Yallingup Maze well worth the visit to entertain the family and perhaps purchase a game to take home with you.

Café serving an awesome selection of burgers, salads, pizzas, nachos, arancini balls, fresh juices and smoothies, homemade cakes and slices. Local wines and beers.

Nature playground, bouncy castle and a licensed air-conditioned café all make Yallingup Maze a popular choice for families this summer.

The slide unfortunately, is for kids only – but adults can be lubricated by the bar! In addition to the slide, they also have a playground at the farm.
